Wind Friends

Wind Friends: Windsocks With Personality

Wind Friends are character windsocks from In the Breeze. Instead of a plain tube, each one is a full figure whose arms and legs flutter in the breeze. There are holiday characters like Hipster Santa, Snowman, Penguin, Witch, Turkey, Bunny and the Autumn Scarecrow, plus everyday friends like Beach Bev, Mermaid, Grillin' Guy, Fisher Fred and Float Man.

How to Choose a Wind Friend

• Season: Pick holiday characters to rotate through the year, or an everyday character that fits a hobby like fishing, grilling or the beach.
• Size: Most hang about 2 to 3½ ft. long, sized for a porch hook, tree branch or flag bracket.
• Details: Many have applique and embroidered details, and most are double-sided, so they look right from either direction.
• Hanging: Each comes with a heavy-duty snap swivel, so it clips on in seconds and turns with the wind.
