Banner Flags: Large Decorative Flags for Porch and Yard

Banner flags are large, vertical decorative flags that hang from a porch or wall-mounted flag pole. Most of ours measure 29 x 42 or 30 x 44 in., in applique, printed and burlap designs: welcome flags and sayings, seasons and holidays, Southern and coastal themes, home-state pride, Mardi Gras, Derby and game day. The collection also includes Large Crazy Leg banners, feather banners and SoundWinds banners.

How to Choose a Banner Flag

  • Size: 29 x 42 and 30 x 44 in. banners fit standard house flag poles. 20 x 29 in. Large Crazy Leg banners suit smaller spaces, and 3.5 to 8.5 ft. feather banners are made for events and storefronts.
  • Construction: Double applique banners have sewn layers for texture; printed banners show fine detail; burlap gives a farmhouse look.
  • Readability: Many designs are double-sided or readable from both sides, so the message reads correctly from the street and the porch.
  • Hanging: Banner flags slide onto a pole through a sewn top sleeve. Poles and brackets are sold separately in hardware.

Banner Flag FAQ

What size is a banner flag?

Most decorative banner flags are 28 x 40 to 30 x 44 in. Ours are mainly 29 x 42 and 30 x 44 in.

Banner flag vs. house flag: what's the difference?

They're the same kind of flag: large, vertical and hung from a porch pole. Different brands use different names. See our house flags for more designs.

Can I use a banner flag on a garden flag stand?

No, it's too large. Banner flags need a house flag pole and bracket; for a garden stand, choose a garden flag.
