Which Kite Should I Buy?

  • First kite, light wind: Delta kites launch easily and stay steady in a gentle breeze.
  • For young kids: 25 to 30 in. diamond kites are light, classic and simple to assemble.
  • Big, colorful and ready to fly: Large Easy Flyer kites mostly come with line and lift in light wind.
  • Travel and the beach: Frameless sled kites and foil kites pack small and have no spars to snap.
  • Something different: Box and cellular kites have a 3D shape that stands out in a steady breeze.
  • Tricks and steering: Dual-line stunt kites fly loops and dives under your control.
  • Festival showpieces: Premier's giant collection kites, including mega deltas, dragons and macaws.

Kite FAQ

What is the easiest kite to fly?

A delta or a Large Easy Flyer. Both lift in light wind, launch from your hand and fly steadily without constant adjustment.

How much wind do I need to fly a kite?

Most single-line kites fly in a light to moderate breeze, about enough to rustle leaves and lift a flag. Pick an open space away from trees, roads and power lines.

Do your kites come with line?

Many do. Most Large Easy Flyers include 300 ft. of line, for example. Large and specialty kites often don't, since they need heavier line. Each listing says what's included, and kite accessories has line, winders and tails.
